Our workshop is designed to provide the pieces needed by our assemblers, veritable artists to a man, who labour all day to cater for our countless customers. The rule we all share in our workshop is that everything we make must be made as though we were making it for our own homes. Every piece is subjected to at least two quality controls before it is accepted as suitable. And before it gets the final seal of approval, it also has to pass what we call the "glove test", when we pass a hand over of every single weld, every hole and every curl. If the glove worn by the tester catches anywhere, or fails to pass perfectly smoothly, the piece is sent back to the assembler to be put right. The few machines we use are simple drills, a little lathe and mechanical and hydraulic presses. The only other tool we use is our trusty hammer..
